Safe in Shadow

Our shadows always follow us.

Right behind

The cold patch on the pavement

Where we prevent all light

In the Shadows of that which made us

One finds a safety in the familiar

and the invisible

That they are invisible

If they stay in the Shadows

And invisible is not such a bad thing to be
